What is the date and time for Field Trip Day?

Our 2019 date is Wednesday, May 8 from 9:00am until 2:30pm.

What is the cost of admission?

$9.50 per student (prepaid) $11.00 per student at the gate - May 8. For every 10 paid students you will receive one adult chaperone FREE. Any additional adults will be $11.00 each (prepaid) or $13.00 at the Gate on May 8. Bus drivers are admitted free. There are several grants available to help with the cost of field trips available from Target and the Walmart Foundation. We will make every effort to accommodate groups that arrive on Field Trip Day without a reservation but cannot guarantee admission.

Where are you located?

The Festival is located just 8 miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on I-85 at exit 61 (Fairburn - Peachtree City). Click here for a map.

How can I make a reservation?

You can go to our ONLINE RESERVATION FORM and complete all information and hit SUBMIT.

When will I send in the payment?

You have the option to pay online at the time of registration or to be invoiced after your registration is processed. A payment due date will be on the invoice. You can pay for extra students and chaperones by filling out another reservation form and referencing your name and school name (important!). Or if it is very close to the Field Trip Day, you can pay at the Festival Box Office. Note: There are no refunds once payment is made. If you have a student that does not come on the Field Trip Day our Ticket Booth will give you a ticket that the student can use for any Festival weekend we are open.

Will I receive tickets for each student?

No. After your payment is received, the Festival will send you a voucher. The voucher will indicate the number of students and chaperones attending and serves as your ticket for your chaperones and students. Complimentary, Group and Renaissance Tickets purchased online used for Festival weekends are not valid on Field Trip Day.

What do I bring to the Festival gate on day of the field trip?

Bring a copy of your voucher. Be sure the Teacher or Chaperone with the voucher is located at the front of your group. PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE PATHWAYS. If you need to regroup your students or are paying for additional students please move your group off the main path and onto the grassy areas outside the Front Gate area.

Will my students need extra money?

Yes and No! On Field Trip Day your students can bring their lunch or purchase lunch from a wide array of food at the Festival. Food prices vary from $2 to $8. There are games and rides for your students to enjoy that vary in price from $3 to $5 each.

Where should my students meet at the end of the day?

Have your students meet you outside the Front Gate in the grassy areas or at another location inside the Festival. Please be careful not to block pathways! It is best to designate a landmark that your students can easily find, like behind the Corkscrew Slide, next to the Maze, etc.

What if it rains?

The Festival is an outdoor event and will operate rain or shine. Teachers/Chaperones should monitor the weather forecasts and advise students to dress appropriately. No refunds will be issued based on inclement weather.

Will students see the same entertainment as they would on a regular Festival weekend?

No! On Field Trip Day the entire Festival transforms into an educational adventure, featuring our interactive workshops and demonstrations designed exclusively for students. There are still performances, but their shows and themes are family friendly.

Where do I get the Curriculum Guide?

It is available for download on the main Field Trip Day page - look for the red button!
