Urgent News

New Fall Dates
It is evident that our postponed opening date of May 2 is no longer an option, so we are now moving our Festival to October 10 thru November 22, 2020. We are confident these dates will hold, and we can insure a safe environment complete with all of the entertainment, shopping, food and magic you have come to expect from the Georgia Renaissance Festival.

Tickets - Double Up!
If you have already purchased tickets, they will be valid for any day of our new season. Opening Weekend BOGO tickets will be good for any Festival day. We appreciate your support, and we want to offer you something special - use your ticket in the Fall and we'll double your order! Bought two? You'll get four! And if you are unable to visit in the Fall, your 2020 tickets can be rolled over to our Spring 2021 Season - and we'll double those, too! We'll be sending an email to everyone who has already purchased a ticket with more information about your double tickets in the next few days.

Huge impact
The RenFest industry has been devastated by the effects of COVID-19. Many Festivals have had to either shut down or shorten their season. For a business that relies on just a handful of weekends a year for its income, this is a huge blow. The impact on the people who make their living working at these festivals is dramatic. Most of the entertainers and artisans that you enjoy at the Georgia RenFest spend the rest of the year traveling to other similar events, and at this point their usual income stream has all but stopped.

How Can You Help?
Many of these artisans are making their wares available online, and a lot of RenFest entertainers are raising money though livestreams and podcasts, all to help them survive financially through these difficult months. If you are able, we urge you to help. You can easily find many of these people on Facebook or through a Google search. Here is a list of websites for most of our artisans - Find your favorites, and send a little support their way. Every little bit helps. If money is tight, spreading the word about their livestreams and podcasts is a tremendous service.

"I hope all will be well.
We must be patient."

- William Shakespeare's Hamlet
